Donald Joins FM 106.1 to Talk WI Athletic Hall of Fame

The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame, established in 1951 to honor distinguished members of Wisconsin’s athletic history, will induct its 2016 class on Saturday, April 30 at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee. The 2016 class, which coincides with the Hall of Fame’s 65th anniversary, is comprised of Wisconsin Badgers Men’s Basketball Coach Bo Ryan and Green Bay Packers’ All-Time Leading Wide Receiver Donald Driver.                          

The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame features Vince Lombardi, Hank Aaron, Oscar Robertson, Barry Alvarez, Al McGuire, Bud Selig, Junior Bridgeman, Willie Davis, Herb Kohl, Bart Starr, Ab Nicholas, Bob Harlan, Fred Miller, Alan Kulwicki, Robin Yount, Bonnie Blair, Bob Uecker and many other Wisconsin greats.

On hiatus since 2009, the 2016 Hall of Fame induction class marks a resurgence for this proud, historical institution. The Wisconsin Athletic Walk of Fame, located on 4th Street in Milwaukee’s downtown sports and entertainment district, contains bronze plaques commemorating the 135 members of the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame. The Walk of Fame is free and open to the public 365 days a year.
